Of the challenges a company faces in the wake of a cyber incident, one of the most critical is identifying the individuals affected by the breach and developing a notification list. A Cyber Incident Response (CIR) Service launched today by global legal services provider Integreon is intended to help law firm and corporate security cyber-security professionals accomplish that quickly and accurately.
When a cyber breach occurs, Integreon says, its worldwide CIR team of 500 professionals can work with a cyber-security practice to quickly identify, extract and organize personally identifiable information and protected health information and then create clean notification lists of affected individuals, in preparation for breach notification to state attorneys general, consumer protection authorities or national credit bureaus.
Jamie Berry, executive vice-president, legal services, at Integreon, said that the company has already successfully completed more than 300 incident response assignments. Professionals on the team work from delivery centers located in Austin, Charlotte, Fargo, New York, London, Mumbai, Noida, and Manila, and are able to work around the cl0ck to meet tight deadlines.

Lee Marler, global CIR director at Integreon, who has been a driving force behind developing and implementing this service, said that companies dealing with cyber incidents require speed, accuracy, agility and thoroughness. “Our primary objective is to establish and maintain a practice that quickly mobilizes and completes incident response projects efficiently,” he said.
Integreon’s expansion into cyber-incident response follows its launch last June of a Subpoena Processing and Compliance Service, dedicated to working with companies to receive and reply to incoming third-party subpoena demands.
