Litera today announced a further expansion of Litera TV, its platform of streaming legal programming, with a new Netflix-like user experience, new hosts, and the announcement that it will provide gavel-to-gavel live coverage of next week’s ILTA>ON conference, with me as one of two anchors hosting the coverage, along with Caroline Hill, editor of Legal IT Insider.

Regular readers of this blog will know that Litera launched Litera TV in the wake of the coronavirus crisis, and that I have been hosting a weekly show there, Law Insights, since April 8. As I wrote here in July, when Litera TV marked its 300th episode and the addition of new hosts, it has been an unexpected highlight for me in a year of so many challenges and difficulties, allowing me the honor of sitting down for 30-minute chats with a who’s who of legal industry leaders.

Today, Litera rolled out a new look for the platform that makes it easy to find specific shows, including previous episodes, and to see trending content.

It also announced two new additions to its lineup of hosts that already included such legal tech experts as Hill, Ari Kaplan, legal industry analyst and principal of Ari Kaplan Advisors, and Jeffrey Brandt, chief information officer at the law firm Jackson Kelly and editor of Pinhawk’s Law Tech Daily Digest. The two new hosts are:

  • Adriana Linares, president and founder of consulting group, LawTech Partners.
  • Catherine Bamford, CEO and founder of BamLegal, a team that helps law firms improve their service delivery using technology, and former director of legal engineering at Deloitte.

Live Coverage of ILTA>ON

In addition to all that, Litera is announcing that it will provide all-day live broadcast coverage next week of ILTA>ON, the first-ever virtual conference of the International Legal Technology Association. Coverage will include reporting on and analysis of program sessions and interviews with a range of people involved in the conference.

As I said, Caroline Hill and I will anchor the coverage, will which run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Central time all next week, Aug. 24-28. Caroline, who is based in London, will take the early shift, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT, and I will host from 1-4 p.m. CT.

By the way, my show tomorrow on Litera.TV will feature Joy Heath Rush, ILTA’s CEO, who will provide a preview of next week’s conference.

[Full Disclosure: Litera pays me a fee to host programming on Litera.TV.]
