Reynen Court, the so-called app store for legal technology, has promoted two of its key executives to new roles. Christian Lang, formerly head of strategy, is now president and chief operating officer. Lodewijk Bonebakker, formerly head of operations and security, is now chief compliance and security officer.
Both will continue to report to founder and CEO Andrew D. Klein.
The news comes a week after Reynen Court launched a general solicitation stock offering in order to bring on individual lawyers and “legal technology enthusiasts” as investors in the company.
As president and COO, Lang will continue to oversee strategy and the company’s vendor ecosystem, while also taking on oversight of the teams building relationships with and supporting platform users.
A former Davis Polk & Wardwell associate, Lang is also the founder of Inspire.Legal, a legal innovation conference, and a founder of the NY Legal Tech Meetup.
Klein credited Lang with having played an instrumental role in establishing Reynen Court. “It is no exaggeration to say he is uniquely qualified to accelerate further development on both sides of the first-of-its-kind platform we are now scaling,” he said.
Bonebakker will be charged with maturing the company’s compliance policies and capabilities, which the company said are critical objectives given the growing number of law firms and legal departments that are deploying third-party cloud applications into private cloud production environments through the Reynen Court platform.
He has been with Reynen Court since 2018. Before becoming head of operations and security in 2020, he was chief innovation officer.
