With the Legalweek conference scheduled to convene in New York City in just a month, I began to hear rumors from multiple sources this week that it was being postponed due to the surge in coronavirus cases resulting from the Omicron variant.

To find out if that was true, I reached out to Mark Fried, CFO and president of events at ALM, the company that produces Legalweek.

“This is patently false,” he said in an email this morning. “Obviously we are exploring options but we are currently 100% committed to having the event at the scheduled times and location at the NY Hilton in February.”

The conference is scheduled to take place Jan. 31-Feb. 3 at the New York Hilton. Legalweek is traditionally one of the largest and best-attended legal conferences.

Assuming it goes forward as scheduled, this will be Legalweek’s return to live programming, after cancelling last year’s in-person event and replacing it with a year-long series of virtual programs dubbed Legalweek(year).
